Są na świecie płyty, o których nie śniło się młodym klerykom...

Dezerter, Izrael, Kryzys – pamiętacie? Bikini, Holy Toy, Zespół Reprezentacyjny – nie bardzo? A Strachy na Lachy pamiętają. Przypominają. Coverują. Klimatycznie, stylowo. Ot, taki wehikuł czasu, który bardzo sprawnie zadziałał. Chwała im za to.

Lata osiemdziesiąte – stan wojenny, kolejki, ciągły brak wszystkiego. Muzycznie – kojarzymy raczej z Kaczmarskim, Gintrowskim, rockowymi balladami, wszystko pełne politycznych odwołań, wszystko bardziej zapamiętane, bo o nagraniu albumu większość mogła zapomnieć… Zakazane piosenki. Mimo to ludzie tworzyli. Underground działał prężnie. Polityka? Być ponad nią to marzenie, często o niej myśleć – rzeczywistość. Stąd masa przemyconych w tekstach odwołań. A obok życie, miłość. I to właśnie pokazuje ten album.

Nie chcę oceniać Strachów. Ani Grabaża. Podjęli się aranżacji tych a nie innych utworów. A że to brzmi bliżej Pidżamy? Trudno. Album jest świetny. Równy. Solidny. Zróżnicowany. Dobór piosenek bez zarzutu. Nie znajdziemy tu wielkich przebojów. Znajdziemy przekrój twórczości schyłku PRL. W muzyce trochę punkowo, trochę rockowo (pop-rockowo?), trochę fascynacji reggae. Chce się skakać, pląsać. Album rusza. Brawo.

Już pierwsze “Nocne ulice” przenoszą nas na ulice właśnie. Mnie niekoniecznie do własnego miasta, a gdzieś do Londynu – tak mi tu The Clash pobrzmiewa… “Dlaczego ja?” ucieka w nurt reggae. Aż prosi się o rearanżację w dub (ale to już nie prośba do Strachów). Dźwięki z “Łazienki” niepokoją, muzyka doskonale komponuje się z tekstem. Z “Zamknij wszystkie drzwi” odpływamy… Gdzieś… Daleko… Tak ten utwór wciąga. “Po prostu pastelowe” – bodaj najbardziej znane w oryginale z całego zestawu. Po 20 latach wraca w nowej szacie. Lepszej? Innej. Saksofon zastąpiony gitarą. Dynamicznie. Przebojowo. Pastelowo… Jak na całym albumie.

Jeszcze raz chwała i szacunek Strachom za danie drugiego życia tym trzynastu “Zakazanycm piosenkom”. Niby teksty sprzed dwóch dekad, niby klimat oryginałów oddany. A jednak słychać, że nagrane dziś. Oklaski!
